Workshop 1: SEP in Buildings, managed by BAPE
Warsztat 1: Budownictwo o prawie zerowym zapotrzebowaniu na energię, moderator: Bałtycka

15 persons participated in Workshop 1, with presentations translated either into Polish or English (depending on the speaker). Participants were very active and interested in the subject. The overall impression was very good.
Workshop 1 Participants

The main conclusions of the workshop were:

  1. Near Zero Energy Buildings (NZEBs) are a relatively new subject where the schemes for implementation are being developed at the moment (eg. Welsh system);
  2. The cost of construction of NZEBs is only 7-10% higher than of a standard building;
  3. Cooperation between investors, designers and constructors is needed at every step of the project;
  4. Dissemination activities, especially among public authorities, are needed as it is the role of a public sector to give good examples and meet directive’s requirements.
