Experiences from the ENNEREG Regions

The purpose of this section of the Inspiration Guide is to disseminate to a broad European audience the benefits that have arisen as a result of the ENNEREG intervention in each partner region. This includes lessons learnt and experience gained from implementing the SEAPs in each of the ENNEREG Pioneer Regions.

A complete list of reports, publications, presentations and other resources that have been published by the ENNEREG project is available on the About ENNEREG page of this website.

Below, you will find links to a number of reports created during the ENNEREG project, while the sub-sections summarise the individual reports from each region. Click on a link to find out more.

The report from each region covers the following main points:

Setting the Scene

This section addresses issues such as:

  • The region’s point of departure
  • Regional vision and goals
  • Network and stakeholder mobilisation

D2.2 2.5 SummaryV2ENNEREG Regional energy survey and establishment of initial goals “Conclusions document”

[EN] This document summarizes the regional energy surveys provided by the partners of the 12 different regions in the ENNEREG project. There are important differences among these regions with respect to their size and population (from 70.000 to 6 million), or with respect to the energy sources they use.

Putting a regional SEAP into place

This section shows how each region has generated and fulfilled the objectives of a regional Sustainable Energy Action Plan (SEAP) including:

  • Establishing a baseline emission inventory
  • Assessing the region's potentials for CO2 reductions
  • Planning Sustainable Energy Project (SEP) actions
  • Involving stakeholders and ensuring good interaction with related initiatives

D2.7 2.12 ENNEREG Regional network establishment and approach for SEAP developmentV2Pgina01Regional network establishment and approach for SEAP development

[EN] This document has been drafted based on the information provided by the regional partners of the ENNEREG project, at an early stage of the development of the ENNEREG foreseen activities and describes the activities that are planned in each region for the SEAP development. The regions shall work in this task with different approaches adapted to the characteristics of the region and its governance structures and will provide at a later phase of the project a description of the performed activities and update it in a second phase.

SEAP and SEP Implementation

This section builds on the reports described in Phase 3: Implementation to provide:

  • Information on the overall process of implementing the set of actions in the regional SEAP
  • Selected "good stories" describing the SEP measures/investments initiated. This will serve as a descriptive supplement to the information given in the SEP evaluation, summarising the most interesting aspects of the design of the measures taken and how these have been turned into reality.

Reflection and future prospects

This section provides conclusions from the project including:

  • What has the ENNEREG project intervention brought to the region and follow-up prospects
  • What are the key lessons learned of relevance to other regions

D2.10 D2.13 Strategy on future action20130310Pgina01Strategy for future action in the ENNEREG regions

[EN] During the project, the ENNEREG partners have worked in the development of sustainable energy action plans (SEAP) in their represented regions and in the promotion of sustainable energy projects (SEP). The objective of this document is to present how they intend to continue their efforts after the end of the project, developing the activities planned in the regional SEAP and ensuring the attraction of the necessary resources to promote sustainable energy projects.

Some of the SEAPs defined with the support of the project have been approved by the respective administrations and others still need to be matured to be accepted at the regional level and to be implemented. Thus, the situation is not the same in every region, and the approach to work in sustainable energy is not the same either. This document summarizes the common as well as the specific aspects about how the regions expect to organize and carry on the work on sustainable energy in the next future.
