ENNEREG - Regions paving the way for a Sustainable Energy Europe is a European project supported by the Intelligent Energy ‐ Europe programme. The project started on 1 May 2010 and runs until 30 April 2013.

ENNEREG aims to establish and inspire a network of regions - Regions 202020 ‐ to produce regional Sustainable Energy Action Plans (SEAPs) and implement Sustainable Energy Projects (SEPs).

This Regions 202020 site also hosts the newsletter for a cluster of five IEE Sustainable Energy Communities projects which all include activities connected to, or supporting the Covenant of Mayors: ENNEREG, Energy for Mayors, City-SEC, come2CoM and ENESCOM. For more information:

Specific materials and resources are being created by the ENNEREG project in order to assist Sustainable Energy Regions in producing their Sustainable Energy Action Plans (SEAPs) and Projects (SEPs), including:

In addition, the project has developed a number of resources for the use of ENNEREG project partners which may also be of assistance and interest to other Sustainable Energy Regions. These include:

EVE - Ente Vasco de la Energía

As well as being a member of the ENNEREG project team, responsible for developing the Regional Sustainable Energy Action Plan for the Basque Country, EVE has been a Covenant of Mayors Supporting Structure since the year 2009.

CRES - Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Saving

The Centre for Renewable Energy Sources (CRES) is the Greek national centre for Renewable Energy Sources (RES), Rational Use of Energy (RUE) and Energy Saving (ES). Within the ENNEREG project, CRES is responsible for activities in the Cyclades.

Trekantområdet Danmark

Energikontor Sydost AB Energy Agency for Southeast Sweden (ESS)

The Energy Agency for Southeast Sweden strives for an increased energy efficiency and supply of renewable energy. Its work is performed within various collaborative and developmental projects from local and regional up to European level. The Agency is owned by the Association of the Energy Agency for Southeast Sweden which members consist of municipalities, county councils and regional councils in the counties of Blekinge, Kalmar and Kronoberg.

The Agency shall actively contribute to the creation of a sustainable energy system in the region, as a good example in Europe. It shall offer current, objective and impartial information and knowledge within the energy and transport sectors.

IDMEC–IST - Instituto de Engenharia Mecânica, Pólo IST

The Research Group on Energy and Sustainable Development - RGESD is part of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering – IDMEC, and has developed its activities since 1985 in the development of tools to simulate and to optimize the design, operation and control of full-scale energy equipment.   Transfer of knowledge in the field of sustainable use of energy
  22 May 2012, Wielkopolska Voivodship Office, Poznan, Poland

  The morning session of the ENNEREG International Conference in Poznan, Poland will present the ENNEREG Project and Regions 202020 Network as well as the Regional SEAPs for Wielkopolska and Pomerania, a presentation of EU policies of relevance to actors on regional and local levels by Mr Krzysztof Gierulski, European Commission DG ENER, as well as Regions 202020 Good Practice case studies and Sustainable Energy Projects (SEPs) at the regional and inter-regional levels from the ENNEREG Pioneer regions. After lunch, a number of experience exchange workshops will be organised on relevant topics. The event will be followed by a Replication Workshop on 23 May 2012 oriented towards other Polish regions, addressing monitoring aspects of the regional SEAP.

• Międzynarodowej Konferencji projektu ENNEREG pt.
  Transfer wiedzy w dziedzinie zrównoważonego wykorzystania energii
  22 maja 2012 r. , Wielkopolski Urząd Wojewódzki w Poznaniu (Polska)

  W części pierwszej konferencji, przedstawiony zostanie projekt ENNEREG, sieć Regions 202020 a także „Regionalny Plan Działań na Rzecz Zrównoważonej Energii” (SEAPs) dla Województwa Wielkopolskiego i Pomorskiego. Zaprezentowane będą również przykłady Dobrych Praktyk - Regions 202020 oraz prowadzonych projektów i działań dotyczących zrównoważonej energii (SEPs) na poziomie regionalnym i lokalnym przez regiony pionierskie projektu ENNEREG. Na konferencji obecny będzie również Pan Krzysztof Gierulski, przedstawiciel Komisji Europejskiej DG ENNER, który wygłosi krótką prelekcję na temat polityki UE w odniesieniu do podmiotów na poziomie lokalnym i regionalnym. 

  W części drugiej konferencji, zaraz po lunchu, zapraszamy na warsztaty dotyczące wymiany doświadczeń w pokrewnych konferencji tematach.

  CRES is organizing a conference “Innovative technologies for buildings. The role of Municipalities”, on 2nd of March 2011, in Athens. The event is addressed to the Municipalities, (mayors, engineers, etc) all over Greece and is supported by the Central Union of Municipalities in Greece.   Lithuanian Energy Institute (LEI), together with invited speakers, arranged the seminar “Production of Biofuel from Agriculture and Energy Plants for Development of Renewable Energy” (Seminaras „Biokuro gamyba iš žemės ūkio ir energetinių augalų atsinaujinančios energetikos plėtrai“) under ENNEREG activities on September 29. The role of agriculture in development of RES development is emphasized as very important in Lithuania as well as in Kaunas Region, since the use of forestry resources are limited and not always feasible. On the other hand products from agriculture can be widely used in district heating which plays the main role in development of RES measures for implementation of SEAP.

  In cooperation with OTTI, ZREU is organising a one day workshop to inform about financing schemes of the European Union in the field of renewable energy resources and energy efficiency. The workshop is to facilitate the development of new projects in these fields by informing about the various funding resources in different European programs. One specific session will deal with the requirements for preparing and submitting a successful proposal. Different Programms will be introduced to the audience like 7th Framework Programme, Intelligent Energy Europe, Life+, etc.

  The first edition of Pomeranian Energy Days under Energy Sustainable Week took place on 15th April, 2011. The main organizer of the event was Pomorskie in the European Union Association, while Baltic Energy Conservation Agency was the co-organizer. The event aimed to promote environmental protection and presentation how energy influents everyday life. There was a conference “Environment – Technology – Innovation”, starting with contemporary challenges of energy and energy policy. Later, first Pomeranian Mayors will sign the intention letter to join the Covenant of Mayors: Gdynia, Kościerzyna, Władysławowo, Hel and Gniewino.
